# Laurens Academy Extends Undefeated Streak

Laurens Academy continued its dominant performance in the SCISA 8-man ranks with a 42-13 victory over Wardlaw Academy at Todd Kirk Field. The Crusaders, now with a 5-0 record, have consistently scored at least 38 points in each of their five wins this season.

The game began with Laurens Academy’s defense making a goal-line stand on the opening drive, setting an early tone. The Crusaders established a 20-0 lead by halftime.

Wardlaw Academy (2-3) responded in the second half, with a long return on the kickoff leading to their first touchdown. This score came from a 25-yard pass from Kale Henderson to Thomas Proctor.

On defense, Laurens Academy caused and recovered two fumbles, and defensive back Elias Littleton secured two interceptions in the second half.

Offensively, senior Caleb Hardy contributed significantly with three touchdowns, including two rushing and one receiving. Whittaker also made an impact, opening the scoring with a 14-yard run and adding a 33-yard touchdown run before halftime.

Next, the Crusaders will travel to Bamberg to face Andrew Jackson Academy (2-4), which recently experienced a 42-0 loss to W.W. King.
