Clemson and Georgia Football Series Cancelled
An upcoming four-game home-and-home football series between the Clemson Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs has been cancelled. The series was set to include games in Clemson in 2029 and 2033, and in Athens in 2030 and 2032. The Athens Banner-Herald first reported the cancellation last Tuesday.
The cancellation was mutually agreed upon by both programs. The decision is attributed to the Southeastern Conference’s move to a nine-conference game schedule. The fanbases of both teams are connected by a roughly 90-minute drive. Coaches Kirby Smart and Dabo Swinney are described as members of the old guard in coaching.
